Competing in her first Department of Defense Warrior Games individual event, medically separated Marine Corps Cpl. Rose Jessica Hammack earned a gold medal in her category. Her boyfriend of two years, medically retired Navy Petty Officer 1st Class Andrew Johnson, was competing in his sixth DoD Warrior Games and proposed to her after deciding to "seize the day" because of a special someone in his life.
